Catherine Abigail, 1877 – 1931 (daughter of Owen McCarthy and Isabel Daly)
Catherine was trained and worked as a nurse in Rochester. She died there but was buried in Peterborough. Known as Aunt Gill, she sent presents to her nieces and nephews and was fondly remembered. My mother told of driving to Cobourg to get the boat to Charlotte, the port nearest Rochester, to visit her Aunt Gill for a few days.
