Joseph Raymond, 1924 -2010

Joe was the youngest child, and farmed on the home farm. As a teenager he walked to Keene to catch the school bus to secondary school in Peterborough. When World War II began in 1940, he had to quit school to help with the chores because his older brothers had enlisted. He too was a softball pitcher of note, as well as playing hockey and curling. He is a progressive farmer and was a Director of the National Farmers’ Union across Canada. Joe also loves playing bridge.
