A great memory I have of Gramps is when my sister (Kaeli) and I would go over for sleep overs. He wound let us comb his hair in many different funny styles!! He would sit on the floor and we would be on the couch and we would comb his hair into a mohawk just to name one style!!! We could continue until Grams had enough, she would wet the comb and put his hair back to the way it was!!!! He was a wonderful Grampa and I have so many great memories of him:)

From Chiclets in his pocket to lollipops in the cupboard.
He would never let his grandkids go without :)

Donald ('Gramps' to me) also played an active role in the lives of his grandchildren. He routinely gathered the 'little people' around him and quizzed them on various topics handing out small change and lollipops for the correct answers.

He was also known to tie up hockey skates at minor league hockey games on cold winter mornings and celebrate victories and defeats alike with a warm cup of hot chocolate.
