Brian married Joan Marie Pettit, 1941. He attended St. Michael’s College in Toronto before moving from Ontario to Alberta in 1979. He currently works part time and is looking forward to complete retirement. He is big fan of both hockey and baseball, particularly the Toronto Blue Jays. Brian and Joan have three children:
- Christopher Francis, 1959, Chris married Joan Marie Staines in 1978 and moved to Alberta in 1981. Chris has been involved in sales and sports all his life. His favorite sport is hockey. He was a player, official, coach , administrator and now works as a coach mentor and facilitator for Hockey Canada and Hockey Alberta teaching coaches to be coaches. His full-time job is that of a National Hockey League Player Agent working with the NHLPA helping aspiring young players become professionals. He travels much of western Canada and the northwest U.S.A. following and developing his players most of the hockey season. He currently has five players under NHL contact and is looking forward to more in the near future.
Joan works as a payroll administration and senior accountant for a major casino in Calgary. Joan was voted Female Coach of the Year for Calgary Special Olympics in 2008. Chris and Joan have two children:
- Andrew Malcolm, 1983. He is an avid competitor in the Special Olympics. His sports are baseball and bowling. During the weekend of the 2001 family reunion, he was competing in the Summer Special Olympic Games in Alberta.
- Miranda Lee, 1984. Miranda married Richard Johnson on June 27th, 2009 at his family’s cabin in Sicamous, B.C. Miranda graduated from the University of Calgary in the spring of 2009 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Miranda was also voted Female Coach of the Year for Calgary Special Olympics in 2006. Richard also graduated as an engineer from the University of Calgary. They currently live and work in Calgary.
- Pauline Marie, 1961, graduated from University of Saskatchewan with degrees in Biology, Agriculture and Animal Nutrition. She has since gone on to obtain a diploma in Computer Technology and currently teaches computer programming and application development at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
- Wayne Patrick, 1962. Pat is currently a Project Manager for PTMC Engineered Systems. He is actively involved in canine agility as he is part owner of the Calgary Canine Center. In his spare time, Pat is also a coach for minor hockey. In 1986 Pat married Jeanette Marie Hudema, 1966. They have two children:
- Rebecca Elizabeth, 1987.
- Daniel Patrick, 1990.
